We travel over winding roads through mountain passes in the Carpathian Mountains, visiting historical towns, castles, medicinal spas and caves. The quality of the roads leaves a little to be desired in some places. This is, however, more than compensated for by the proverbial hospitality of the Romanians, and the largely untouched landscapes.
